Oct 4 1866 My dear Sir If you wish a trial made with your ore which you would be able to get the [use rent?] of the [illegible] of the Staten Island Steel Co to use their Furnace, and we will endeavour to let [Mr Mock?] our Foreman make the experiment for you - He is now at Scranton, at work [erecting?] their Furnace for the Smith process.
