Know all men by these presents that
I, LB. Boomer of Chicago in the State
of Illinois do hereby make constitute
and appoint Nelson A. Gesner of the City 
of New York my true and lawful attorney
with full power and authority for me and 
in my name place and stead to do and 
perform any and all acts and deeds whatever

and to make execute and deliver 

all deeds instruments receipts contracts
or acquittances relating to the contract for
the construction of One hundred and fifty
miles westward of the Union Pacific Rail 
Road beginning at the 100th Meridian 
of Longitude in the Territory of Nebraska 
and to do and perform any act or deed
or to sign execute or deliver any instrument 
whatever in relation to the business of the 
construction of said Rail Road as fully 
as I could do myself in person hereby 
ratifying and confirming any and every
act or acts that any said Attorney may 
do or perform in my name. The said 
assignee assuming all liabilities and
indemnifying me against all losses or
damages on account of the same.
