Know all men by these presents that S. L. B. Boomer of Chicago in the State of Illinois do hereby make constitute and appoint Nelson A. Geener of the City of New York my true and lawful attorney with full power and authority for me and in my name place and stead to do and perform any and all acts and deeds whatsoever and to make execute and deliver all deeds instruments receipts contracts or acquittances relating to the contract for the construction of one hundred and fifty miles westward of the Union Pacific Rail Road beginning at the 100th Meridian of Longitude in the Territory of Nebraska and to do and transform any act or deed or to sign execute or deliver any instrument whatsoever in relation to the business of the construction of said Rail road as full as I could do myself in hereon hereby ratifying and conferencing any and every act or acts that my said attorney may do or transform in my name he said
