Durant Eq Dr Sir, Yours of May 28th received this a.m. Telegraph Line not yet completed I put horse & mule teams on [illegible] fore front of last week, Rains almost incessant that part of country making Roads very bad, pushing through now more to my satisfaction ~ Town lots at Laramie have been quite dead since you were here, people had no confidence, think it will improve now the Trains run through to this point Syphax should do well with his house, I have been in it two or three times and find he has a good run of custom, but fear his expenses are too heavy, too many Darkeys hanging around You told me you wanted me to go to Green River, I answered you at once I was ready to go - Davis wants me to start in a short time, am prepared to move on orders at any time - If ordered to Green River would like to have a chance to furnish from 5 to
