(picture postcard of New Union Station, Chicago) We went into a door which said Push" - Here were taxi cabs traveling at a good rate of speed in circle motion. We got a taxi cab and went to the La Salle Hotel where we stayed while visiting a week at Chicago. Mrs Bakke, Mrs Barker and Miss Forbes were there to meet us, we then registered, and guides took us up on elevators to our rooms. I had two room mates and our room number was 627. We unpacked our baggage, and then took a stroll around the hotel to see just what it was like. We were all tried from traveling so off to bed we went for a good nights rest. The next morning when we woke up, we actually could not believe ourselves to be in Chicago. We then hurried down to the coffee shop, or lunch room for our breakfast. We hurried upstairs to a meeting of all the Iowa girls with Mrs Bakke. (picture postcard of Hotel La Salle, Chicago)
