Even before when I drank milk it sickened me, but when I won my trip to the Club Congress at Chicago, the last thing I told my mother was, "I am going to drink milk no matter how sick it makes me." I certainly drank the milk and it didn't make me sick either. I needed the milk and now I cannot do without it.
Although I haven't named nearly all of the different phases of club work, but I feel as I have named those that are of the most importance.
Activities that the 4-H organizations carry on, such as State Fairs, State Conventions, and club congress are very influential and cooperative. I have attended all three of these and think it is a wonderful opportunity for we girls and boys to meet new friends and see what other clubs are doing. To meet people and correspond with them gives us a more common and natural feeling person. I have visited people at the club congress. I think it is one big important thing on our organization.
The 4-H club work has helped me over many stumbling stones and if I were to name all of them I soon would have a mere newspaper. The 4-H club work, and our emblems with the 4-H white H's and green four leaf clover certainly means good luck, and is of the best, cleanest, whitest, and purest outstanding ideal in the world today. Lots have more club work.
