April 26, 1882. Wednesday. This has been a dull day to me at least. I felt so mean on account of a headache. I think that Asia is a very hard country to study about. There are so many hard names to learn. I have today learned that odor consists of many small particles, much finer than the finest powder. When we smell these particles go into our nostrils. Was perfect in spelling. May sprained her foot at recess. I fear it is badly hurt. Visff April 27, 1882. Thursday. Today we played march. All the littlest ones formed into line, then we marched all around. Mary was not at school today. I do not know how she is. Last night Mattie and Frank gathered some bluebells. They were the first I have seen.
