15 Mrs. Blythe was given a second opportunity to speak because thro' a misunderstand- ing she maintained an unpartizan attitude and the intention was on this occassion to give each party an opportunity to state its position on vital questions of the day. Mrs. Rulledge gave fifty dollars to the Dr. Anna Howard [illegible] memorial. Mrs. Devit moved that the League send a message of greeting to Dr. Effie McCullam Jones, who is absent from this annual gathering for the first time in many years. Unanimously carried. Treasurers report ready by secretary. Moved and seconded that Mrs. [Coch's?] reprot be accepted. Carried. Report of credentials com. given by Dr. Harpel. Voting strength of convention eighty five. Moved and seconded that the report of credentials committee be accepted, carried. Election of affairs was next in order. [Illegible] appointed Mrs. Hunter and Result of the election was as follows. Mrs. Walter Brown - Des Moines Chairman Dr. Kate Harpel Boone Vice " Mrs. H.S. Van Alstine Gilmore City [Recording?] secretary " John [Dennison?] Des Moines Corresponding Secretary. Mrs. Sadie Passig Humboldt Treasurer. Discussions as to necessary amendments to the constitution resulted in a motion
