LXXXVIII At the conclusion of a very interesting lesson, Mrs. Detwiler was voted a success. Under the heading "Women in educational affairs" Mrs. Littell read a paper which was full of thought-inspiring ideas and which did not fail to draw out a liberal discussion on school matters. It was thought that there was still much room for improvement along the line of school discipline. The club also favored the plan - much commended by high minded men -- of the state owning and furnishing the school-books. At the conclusion of the discussion, one or two points
