79. Surfit Water Three pecks of seed that grows in wheat Poppy's one handfull Balm, [Pound?] Pimpernel the same qu:ty & marrygolds Infuse this in a Gall:n French Brandy, let it stand 48 hours then wring it through a course cloath & bottle it 80. For a Cold An oz. & half conserve Roses, [D:o] hipps, of Olibanum finely sifted 2 Drams, 20 Drops of Spirit of Sulphur as much of the white poppys as will make it into an [Elusnary?] 81. Dafeys Elixir Four oz Senna leaves, Guiacum roots, aniseeds, Elicamphare dry'd, Carraway, Coriander seeds 2 oz of each 2 oz & Liquorice the same, half a p:d raisins of the sun ston'd steep all these 4 days in 3 quarts of aqua vitae, slice some rhubarb to it 82. Elder Flower Wine To five Gall:ns water 1 Gall:n of Elder Flowers that are full in their bloom, pickt clean from the stalks, 28 pound Malaga Raisins pickt clean, put the flowers & raisins together, boyl & [seum?] the water, & after it has stood half an hour, measurefull 5 Gall:ns, put it on the Raisins, w:n 'tis quite Cold, put some Ale Yeast to it, Stir it 2 or 3 times for 6 Days together, let it stand 6 weeks & draw it of, & let it fine & settle rack it off into Bottles & put into Every Bottle a Lump of fine sugar
