Mrs Linons Recait how to Make a Plumb Cake Take 12 Pounds of Flower 12 pound of Currans and 2 pounds of White pouder suger and 2 Qurts of Creame and Six pound of Butter and 1 Quart of Barm and 30 eggs take out 15 of the whites Half a pint of Sack a quarter of a Pint of B B Rose water 4 ounces of canded orange Peel 4 ounces of canded Lemones Peel when it tis took out of the oven take the whits of 4 eggs and 4 spoonfuls of Rose Water and 2 pounds of Doubel refine Loafe sugar beat it while ye cake is a beakeing To Make Goosbeory Vinegar Take a gallon of ripe Goosbarrys and pick them from the leaves and brues them and put them to a Gallon of water which has been boyled and quite cold let it stand a day or 2 till you see it work you must stir it to g Spirit of Ossodeldock Take spirit of wine 2 pints, Camphor 2 ounces, green speckled soap 2 pound. Dissolve the Camphor in the spirits of wine over a gentle fire stirring till all is dissolved, taking care not to let ye flames catch it, then put in the soap keeping is stirring till very well incorporated to a good heat then put into a Jugg or Bottle; when used bathe a little at a time into the affected part wth a hot band or hot iron. Its sold for 12 or 14 a qt. You may make half a quantity of each ingredient.
