A never failing remedy for ye toothack Take gum lace one ounce and half, of myrrh, and mastick, each three drams, of ye spirit of salt duleified half an ounce of the best brandy one gill and half, get the gums finely powderd, the spirit of salt duleified in a phyal by it self, put all the ingredients to the brandy and let it stand a week or eight days to infuse. When you use it, warm a little redd wine and mix a little of ye tincture with it & so wash the teeth. It may be used in an hour after it is made
