Wilmington Delaware Jany 21st of 1857 Thomas C Durant Esq Over Corn Exchange Bank New York City, Dear [illegible] This writer expected to have been with you this day, & would have been, but for the snow storm of Sunday last. There has been no rail road communication out of our city since Saturday last, & from present appearances think there will not be before tomorrow sometime, I may not therefore reach your city until Monday next, If Gen'l Dix [Lallr?] [Farnham?] are at your city & do not expect to remain there until Monday next please Telegraph me & I will come on by first through train.
