Dear Sir The proposition submited to the Cedar Rapids Co not having been accepted I now beg leave to submit for your consideration the following program for a Rail Road connecting with the Pacific Road MSMC Congress to grant the same [subsidies?] to aid in the construct of a road from near Desmoines to the Missouri River as on the first portion of the Pacific Road with the exception of the Lands - in consideration of which the said co shall relinquish all claim for lands not [adjoined?] by the [illegible] of the road from the Mississippi River to Des Moines The road to be in [illegible] or vicinity to the Missouri River
