The Undersigned a majority of the Commissioners named in the Articles of Association of "The Central Trunk Rail Road of Iowa" do hereby certify that on the thirtieth day of January A.D. 1865, we opened books for subscription to the capital stock of said company at the city of New York and that there was subscribed thereto the sum of Three hundred thousand Dollars We do further certify that the stockholders being all present we ordered an Election for six Directors and acted as Inspectors thereof and that therenfrom John J. Blair, T.C. Durant, Oakes. Ames, Ebenezer Cook, C. A. Lambard, and John E. Henry were elected Directors of said company until the first Annual Election provided for in the Articles. - In Witness Whereof We have hereunto set our hands this 31st day of January A.D. 1865. - Chas.
