Adirondack Company's Railroad. Saratoga Springs, Dec 22 1870 T. C. Durant Esq Dear Sir The balance of the laborers on Halls upper work were discharged day before yesterday and are mostly paid off. Some team work I think is yet back. The work will be completed sometime tomorrow - probably about noon - and that force will be at the Glen early on Saturday for their pay - Will you send me authority on receipt of this to draw for the necessary funds. I think we should have not less than $4000. Please advise me as early as possible that I may make the necessary arrangements here Yours truly C. H. Ballard
