Aug 6 1872 IP.C. Crane Esq Dear Sir Your telegram came at 2.40. I had gone down street on a lot of errands for the Dr.,-orders for which had just come by telegraph from [North?] Creek. It was too late to get in the Bank & my efforts to find the Cashier or Teller [while?] & get Draft in season for last nights mail were not successful Here it is - Please acknowlege its receipt
