3-4-31=26 time. I have therefore called and got Mr D's signature to a letter of resignation which I enclose herewith. It was [written?] "[including?] difficulties" and is not very finished but is such as hes dictated. He feels very keenly the [posture?] he is himself in [thus?] has placed the Doctor our Jim in, and as I sincerely believe has become really interested in the project and quite desirous of becoming associated with it. In fact I am sure I am sure that he disliked exceedingly to resign and only did it fearing that any further delay might embarrass Jim seriously, and he wishes me particularly to say to you that if Jim should find it [consisistent?] to make only a [tumpanny?] [arrangement?] for the signing of the Bonds, he would be not only willing but very glad to [sescure?] his practice at such time as would [aid?] your [circumstances?] in New York Your truly C.H Ballard
