Cerane Esq Dear Sir I have not yet found any way to get any more money for you but will make one or two more efforts tomorrow or Saturday. Richards has all he [illegible] carry for the present + May + June are the two most months in year for money in Saratoga. I am personally harder up than I ever was before -- Had $2000-- to pay on some land in the woods Apl. 29 -- which I expected Leavitt to take care of this year he being equally interested But instead of that have had it all to do myself, and shall to do it [ly?] "shining" among my personal friends for a month or two.
