I have no chance to talk frankly and say what I want and why I want it -- of course that wouldn't do -- And as the country rule is to have at least two endorsers on paper, or lots of "collateral" whereof I have none -- am tied up again in that direction -- And above all there isn't enough money, loose -- in all this region to start a corner grocery -- Send me two to day [acceptances?] (Dfts) for $2500 each leaving the name of the party to where order they are to be made blank and I will try one new string and see what can be done -- Yours truly C.H.Ballard
