Crane Esq Dr Sir the examination before the Sheriffs Jury seemed to me to be an attempt on the part of the Fray parties to show that the Tolling Stock in use on the Road had been paid for by the Adirondack Company and really belonged to it -- the affidavits served on the Sheriff last summer -- to the contrary notwithstanding Durkes + I were both examined at considerable length, but we both testified [illegible] that there was no [illegible] in our office nor ever had been of the purchase of any part of it, nothing to show by whom or from whom purchased -- that there were no [illegible] or bills here, nor ever
