NC Union Co, Cobourns Store August the 31st 1875 Mr W F Durant, Esq Dear Sir Mr Horrace MCall has wrote on to your desiring to rent the Marion Mine for farm purposes the Wager Family are going to take place from him this year and it will be hard on Horace and you Can not rent to a better man and the neighbors would like very much that he could stay on the place as he is an honest, industrious Civil Citizen and a hard working man and a family to maintain and no land of his own the neighbors would like for you to rent it to him .
