[Apr. 16, 1869] The People of the State of New York, TO Thomas C. Durant GREETING: We Command you, That all business and excuses being laid aside, you appear and attend before [Amosa?] A Redfield Referee herein appointed by the Supreme Court of the State of New York at his office No 20 Nassau St Room No 14 in the City of New York on the 16th day of April at 12 o'clock in the noon, to testify and give evidence in a certain action now pending undetermined in the said Court, between William M Tweed Jr plaintiff & Henry C. Crane [& another?] defendant on the part of the plaintiff and that you bring with you, and produce, at the time and place aforesaid, all books & papers showing your relations or the relations of Henry C. Crane to the Corn Exchange Bank of the City of New York
