Durant Esq New York Dear Sir: We find in reference to Wm Powers letter in which he forwarded the Invoice for the Statuary shipped to you that, "there is due to me (him) on the works for Wm. Durant including expenses to Shipboard [British pound] 325, Stg., payable here (Florence) or in England, which sum Wm. Durant can pay you (us) the equivalent, or remit to London or here." If you prefer to pay us the amount for Mr. Powers
