The Methodist minister preached the funeral Tuesday at one o'clock at the house, it was a very cold day with some snow on the ground, when they brought the coffin over [Crow's] girls came & did not leave untill yesterday. Father & Flora walked nest to the coffin, Addie & Ellis next, Dan & Wills, Mary & I -that is the order we went to the grave yard, she was carried on the same [sic] that Wills made to carry Mrs. Gregory on & the same road aroung by the schoolhouse, I left the chilldren here with Hannah. Saturday the meeting commenced here, broke up monday night. Dan & Addie joined. We are haveing very cold weather: snow, rain, ice & sleet, it is a very hard time on stock of all kindes. Like Crow came through here yesterday on his way back from Ohio, he hired a tram to bring him from afton here & then got a team here to take them to Quincy. they lost their youngest child while they were gone. Crow's girls went home with him. I shall go home as soon as it gets warm enough to go, if it ever does get warm again. Claribell is about sick with a bad cold. Miss Mae Daniels's brother is pretty sick. They came for [Loe] yesterday, she got a horse and saddle & went up a horse back, he lives on the [sic] place. [Loe] did not come back untill this morning. Mae is better, wills & Ellis are going across the plaines this summer so they say, I have had no letter from you for three weekes. I am anxious to hear from you. Ann
