Fryday Morning, June 23 rd. the buck board has come along yet one year ago yesterday. W. Bixler was wounded. I was not acquainted with that woman that you mentioned, but I knew the Stipes boyes. I am shure if I were in that man's place, I should go back & find out for my self. I would take no one's wrod. It is an awfull thing. I cannot see how a woman can have so little respect for herself as to do any sutch a thing, why not be one of the common herd ? are you any uneasy about your [frow]? if so, write as I should like to know what you think, my dear sir! I will write soon as I go home as I haven't time to fill out my leter to day. perhaps it will suit all the better. Those furloughs I will hunt them up & send them when I get home. Mary has not heard from George yet. consequently, she expects him every day, as the last news she has he was to start for home in a few days. Alice sayes tell you she think she will graduate this summer as she is going to school to George Russel. Nan sayes if you don't come home this summer, she can't wait any longer, her & Charlie will go the trip.
