Hon. G.N. Haugen,- Dear Sir: Your letter of Jan 27th, written to Mr. Hildreth was duly received and I beg the privilege of answering that part of it in which I am deeply interested. I was glad to learn your "mind is open to conviction," for I feel sure, when you have studied the question of "Womans Suffrage," you will become one of the most enthusiastic workers for the enfranchisement of woman. Her cause is man's cause. All that women ask for is to stand side by side with men, to aid them in making just and equitable laws for all, regardless of sex. That woman in the past had been thoroughly subordinated to man, no one who has read history can deny.
