56 Breakfast rolls. Put into a basin 2 spoonfuls of yeast and 3 eggs, beat these well together with a 1/4 of a pound of butter melted gently over the fire, but not so as to turn into oil. Add two pounds of flour and 3/4 of a pint of milk. Knead all very well together, and put it near the fire for 1 hour & 1/2. Before you put them into the oven, make the mass into small rolls, and bake for half an hour in a rather quick oven. You may wash them over with milk before you put them to bake, if you like
