Egg Ointment for the Piles. approved Take half a pound of unwashed Butter without Salt, let it be melted slowly, then take two ounces of Bees-wax cut very thin, & put the Wax to the butter, & let them boil two or three minutes, or till the Wax is dissolved, take it off, & let it stand still it is nearly cool. Then take the Yolks of two new laid Eggs, beat them up together, & put them to the butter & Bees-wax, let them have a gentle boil up stirring them all the while care must be taken, or the Eggs will Curdle, as soon as it is taken from the fire, strain it off through a coarse Cloth into Cups, This ointment is good for Chaps in the Face or any other sore, Women who feel pain from Nursing will find relief from this ointment, It is an excellent remedy for the Piles, & is to anoint the parts with --when the piles are inward to be apply'd as a Plaster Blacking for Shoes that will not come off 14 lb of Ivory Black two tablespoonfuls of sweet oil two spoonfuls of Spirits of Wine or gin, 14 of moist sugar or treacle, 1 pint of white wine vinegar, 1/2 an ounce of oil of bitterel 1 jill of vinegar after it has boiled please to mix it all well together you must take care to mix the oil well with the Ivory Black before you put any of the there kind of liquides in or it will rise to the top of your Blacking
