The Method to Make Strong Glue for Joining Take a quarter of a pd which will cost threepence put it into nearly half a pint of warm water then place the pipkin or glue pot, by the side of a fire where a gentle heat comes let it remain an hour, but you must move it about with your glue brush frequently, as it will fasilitate the disolving, you can render this to any consistance by water Miss M Metcalfe The method to make strong gum to lay on gold paper with or to put in divisions to Bones one ounce of common gum [senegal?] which will cost 2d or 3d the smaller the pieces the better to disolve put into a large tablespoon of vinegar Miss M. Metcalfe For the gums, Mr Horner [Dentist?] York [Tall?] of [Prunel?] 1 oz a pint of water for the teeth washing the month [many?] times Tooth Powder Miss M. Metcalfe Myrrh two ounces Dragons blood, bole ammoniac, & red coral of each one ounce, all very finely powdered, & mixed well together, with half an ounce of powdered Bark. A composition to take impresions of leaves 4 oz of linseed oyle, 1 drop of oyle of Vitrol 2 Do of burgamott, 2 pennyworth [salumoniac?] 1 Do of spirit of salt, to be coloured afterwards with lamb back vermillian Miss Mary Metcalfe
