For the ring worm Equal quantities of [tar?] ointment and common sulphur ointment well mixed together, if on the head, the head must be shaved, and the ointment rubbed in night and morning before the fire, with the hand covered with a glove - the head must not be washed for three or four days - often rubbing the head it is to be covered with a calves bladder, and a night cap drawn on - at the end of three or four days, wash the head clean with flannel and soap in warm water - the head must again be shaved and if the [illegible] has disappeared it need not be repeated - if spots remain, dress it again the same way
