A good Lotion for the Eyes 3 Tablespoonsful of cold spring water. 4 drops of Goulard extract. 2 drops of Laudanum, 15 drops of Brandy. For Children. 1/4 oz best Rhubarb. 1/4 oz Carbonate of Soda 1/4 oz powdered Ginger. Use 1 teaspoonful or more if for an older Child mix in a little warm water (1 drachm is equal to a teaspoonful/ For sores Take a Cabbage Leaf and bruise it first to let the sap ooze out, hold it to the fire on a fork for a minute and lay the side where the sap has oozed out on the sore place. put a bit of oil silk over the Cabbage Leaf or tie a rag over it. It is good for broken Chilblains.
