Candied Oil for Bruises When the Herbs are fresh take of Bay; Rue, Marjoram Sea-Wormwood, Camomile Leaves of each kind 3 oz. 1 Quart of oil of olives, bruise the Herbs and boil them gently in the oil until they are almost crisp then press out the oil and let it stand to settle and pour it off the sediment. Green Oil Take 1 Quart of the above candied oil, an equal quantity of green Sage, Wormwood, Camomile, and Southern Wood (as much as the candied oil will cover) cut them a little and put them into your oil (having gathered them the day before) let them stand one week before stirring them. Then set them in the Sun 14 days, turning
