It is the stalks are short for this time of year - if we have a good Fall will have lots of corn. I am glad the day turned out so nice Lots of people went by here to the Dawson Fourth. It is two & half miles to the town of Dawson. Well Sister Ellen how are you and the rest of the family - all well I suppose. We are well - come & see us some time. I can talk with more ease than I can write - when you write don't scold me for not writing sooner it may be I may see you sometime then I can explain - write me when you can I think next time you will not have to wait so long for an answer. I close with love & good wishes to you & family - from your sister, Sarah
