20 Receipt for making maccaroni Take an egg beat it up make it into a paste with flour - roll it frequently out as for puff paste. Cut the paste into strips with a paste runner. put it into boiling water and let it boil half an hour strain it from the water and [swim?] it in cream boil it with the cream for ten minutes put it into a dish grate some cheese over it and put it to the fire til it is brown put some salt into the paste if you choose mustard. Boiled custard & very light [candles?] with egg Take the yolk of an egg and a little sugar - beat them well up together add half a spoonful of flour, and gradually mix it with 2 spoonfuls of milk - pour this slowly into a sauce pan among half an English pinto of new milk constantly stirring it till it boils let it boil a minute then add a glass of wine and let it boil a minute longer - season with nutmeg or cinnamon.
