it simmer gently 10 minutes, keeping it stirred. pour it into a mould first wetted with cold water. when cold turn into a dish and pour custard over it. Corn flour Blanc mange Mix gradually 1 pint milk (1 breakfast cup) into 2 table spoonfuls of corn flour not heaped up. Put it in a saucepan & bring to the boil stirring add sugar & flavouring. Boil 8 minutes stirring always. Pour into shape rinsed with water to cool. Boiled for supper like the former only dessert spoonful corn flour to 1/2 pint milk - Voices of Comfort London Longmans Green & Co cousin Ellens favorite Shepherds Pie. Boil 1 lb Potatoes & mash them, stirring in 1 tablespoonful of melted dripping. Cut the meat small. Boil 1 onion. Mix in a [bread?] 1 tea spoonful of flour with 1 tea cup full gravy with pepper & salt to taste. Press out the lumps with back of spoon. Pour into a saucepan & stir till boiling. Boil for 3 minutes & then add meat & onion. Now put 1/2 the meat in one dish - mix a thin layer of potatoes then the rest of meat & lastly the remaining potato. Spread smoothly with knife & bake or brown.
