Iowa City August 22nd 1863 T.C. Durant Esq Dear Sir In your last letter you promised to call the attention of the standing Committee to the fact that they have provided no means that I could realize the amount they had voted me, and you told me that the meeting would not be later than the 1st inst - as I have heard nothing further from it will you have the kindness to call their attention to it, they are I understand to have a meeting next week - Respectfully Yours Peter A.
