Say 2.50 Acres the table and the River, the balance being in the hands of heirs and non residents it will take some days to close this up. it will be done however - I found the Florence line so much more expensive than either of the others that with your views of the cost it is practically out of the question - I am now locating a line starting from south end of City but running over different ground from either of the others, which will reduce the cost of construction below the amount I gave you when in New York $8000 per mile. The weather has been so severe and stormy that it has been impossible for us to keep party out one half the time and our progress is slow - Will send you profile as soon as the location is finished - have in two places adopted 75 ft grades - I am satisfied it is our policy to leave town by the south line in which case we can buy that land on the Saratoga plateau at a less price than it could be bought since my return here -
