Durant Esq- Dear Sir I enclose Estimate for the month of March together with the amount required to purchase Timber land also Estimate of advances neccessary to keep timber men at work during the month, also Estimate of amount neccessary to outfit four parties of Engineers, also the amount of advances made by John E. Henry - The Total amount being $27.700.63 - of this I wish to place to credit of Mr Henry $4.474.67 - I may be too low in my Estimate of Engineering outfit and the money neccessary to carry them along - if it should prove to be so I can notify you by Telegraph - and arrange it in that way - please place the balance with Drexel Winthrop & Co - to the order of Kountze Brothers - Mr Brayton informs me that he has declined his appoint-
