Omaha April 2nd 1864 T.C. Durant Esq Dear Sir Enclosed find Estimate for the month of April 1864. I find difficulty in getting bids on the heavy work on ac. of the time for completing it - can you send some reliable contractors. Sprague is getting a good force and getting along very well with his ties. What survey do you propose to make west of Denver and who is to do it - We have more Rodmen and Second Assistant Engineers than we know what to do with without they can be put in the field some where - I sent Mr Matthewson with Reed - Respectfully Yours Peter A. Dey
