this is a fine Countrey beautiful valleys and furtille Soile their is farmeing land enough on the above nameed rout in this Territory to raise produce enough for two Sutch Territoryes this rout is prefered if the Pass will admit yourse with respect [N.] N M Curtis Mr Dey - I recieved this letter a day or two since - forwarded from Denver. Mr Curtis is a trapper and is interpreter for the Utes - He is probably more familiar with the Ute Country than any other person except Maj. Bridger. By the Breckenridge Pass he doubtless means the Georgia Pass. Dr Parry gives its Elevation 11,487. I think it is impracticable for the reason that the range rises so abruptly
