Mr Reeds services. Mr Case is at work on Maps, profiles &c. He is a man of considerable experience as an Architect as well as Engineer, a fine Draftsman and I think a man well qualified to study up and manage the details of putting up shops station Buildings &c. My idea would be to have him visit with Mr Seymour and Mr Tracy or some practical Rail Road Superintendent the principal Machine shops and other works o the leading Eastern Roads, settle upon what is desirable to adopt in each and let Mr Case measure sketch and work out the details. it is important that all modern improvements should be adopted and to accomplish this it should be begun now, those made last winter may be perfect, but it is possible that later experience may develope improvements that were not in use when the M & M Buildings were first put up - Respectfully Yours Peter A.
