Omaha December 11th 1864 John E. Henry Esq Dear Sir I wrote you about Birkleys timber yesterday. Sprague will be through with his work on the tracts he is now at work, in two weeks except hauling to mill and sawing - he can get by paying their expenses from Northern New York 60 men who will allow the amount of their fare or travelling expenses to be deducted or kept back until they have worked six months. Sixty men in that Red Elm Coffee nut and mulberry timber of Berkleys will get out a great many ties - I would urge the importance of considering this Respectfully Yours Peter A. Dey
