Iowa City September 4th 1858 T.C. Durant Esq Dear Sir I send you letter of Mr Gilmore of Powesheik Co. it contains to a great extent the views that I have expressed to Mr Farnam and is at least worth a careful reading - If the Bonds are issued in Iowa and Powesheik Counties and the work under way there is a fair prospect I learn of getting them in Polk Co - I should have sent this to Mr Farnam but did not know how long he would remain in New York Respectfully Yours Peter A.
