Durant Esq Dear Sir I send you profile and Estimate of Line from Marengo to Cedar Rapids Road - The time was so short that the Survey is necessarily imperfect - I hope however it will answer your purpose - by making the connection further west at Belle Plain a distance of some fourteen or fifteen miles the grade would be nearly level - Respectfully Yours Peter A.
