Iowa City October 2nd 1863 T.C. Durant Esq Dear Sir I send with this the summary and account of work from Iowa City to Grinnell I did not receive (the resolution of the Board directing me to leave out the extra side track not built) and have include it in a final item that can be crossed out without complicating the Estimate - Brayton started west with his party on Wednesday - I shall leave the first of next week - I feel some delicacy in alluding to my own compensation but think that work requires a man worth more than Sixty Dollars per month - You can reach me at Omaha by mail or Telegraph - Respectfully Yours Peter A. Dey
