Washington Aug.t 14 1856 Durant The game is up for the session -- We have laid the Bill up where it will be ahead of every thing else next session, and where it can be reached any day by a majority -- I expect to leave here tomorrow night, and be with you Saturday morning Minisota + Des Moines are high + dry, and a more excited set of thieves you never saw -- Lost, all lost to them without money enough to pay their bills, or land enough to hid their rotten carcases Truly Yours +c Jn.
