Albany Nov 23d. 1853 Dear Brother Yours of yesterday to hand & I note what you say as regards giving the refusal of the stock. When I left you I asked you if you would any portion of the 2000 shares either less than 1.000 or more as I could place the stock) at 75% & you told me you would. Uncle takes 1000 shares 75 & Wm C Durant expects to have some 2 or 300 shares which he will take at 80. Whatever amount he concludes to take I shall claim of you at 75% you of course to have 1/3 of profits. If you are not disposed to let me have what he may want on above terms, let me know by return mail & I will get Uncle to let him have what he wants from his purchase - Wm. C was the first one I talked with about the stock and he must have what he wants from source. I probably should take the whole of it but if anything should happen that I would want to raise funds to carry it along it might be difficult to do it as the firm wants Bank accomodations for as much as we can well raise besides I want
