Lake George Aug 23 1855 T C Durant Esqr Dear Brother, I wish you would write me on receipt of this how long Mr Farnam will remain at Saratoga if there is anything new &c &c &c, I want to see Mr F and yourself before he returns, and I think some of going to Montreal before I return but if necessary can defer it for the present, a letter from you will not reach me unless mailed tomorrow afternoon, perhaps Saturday morning but doubtfull, direct to Calwell Warren Co. Fort Wm. Henry Hotel, hope you will have the contract between Mr. F, yourself & myself made out and ready to [scrutinize?] before Mr F returns Uncle would also like to know if he will be wanted or can do any good by meeting you at Saratoga Is Mr Judd Sheffield & Walcott there We think of leaving here not later than Monday morning CW Durant
