Albany March 6th 1856 T.C Durant Esqr Sir I have used one of the notes received from you Blank date & the Notes will be sent today 5.000 Dolls to Henry Farnam. You can enter on your Bill Book as follows Mch 6th $5000 Dolls to me & advise Mr Farnam, currency is scarce here dont know as I can send any more but will try money is not as plenty here with our Bank as in N.Y. I have sold Wm C Durant 10. M & M Bonds for which I am to take his note at 60 days without Interest and do not charge him any accrued interest on the Bonds at 75% equal to 70 less 4 mo int., you can send the Bonds & I will either send you the note or hold it untill I can get it discounted and send you the nett proceeds. I shall not ask it from either of the Banks where I keep my a/c as I have already more than I could expect but if I can get it discounted outside will do so CW Durant You do not say one word about the car wheels I never purchased them until advised to by you and you treat the matter now so I am ashamed to see the men from whom they are purchased
